Construction Technologies
The TECHNE projects use advanced energy and labor-efficient construction technologies that Southampton management will employ in Marion and Citrus Counties Florida. These construction technologies have reduced home construction time by 50%, energy use by 70%, and labor by half. The current construction cycle time for a 2,000 – 2,500 sq. ft. home is 57 days. The homes construction requires the use of minimal wood relying on structural concrete and lightweight metal. This results in a home that is: 1) highly fire-resistant 2) high R insulation values 3) low maintenance 4) lower acquisition and operating costs.
