Southampton Development Company, LLC will have its affiliated company SOUTHCO SWS build on an “industrialized construction process” basis large-scale housing projects in Florida on initially identified sites in Marion and Citrus Counties. The construction technologies that will be utilized by SOUTHCO SWS are steel-reinforced concrete using handheld aluminum form sets. This construction technology allows for:
- Flexibility in adapting floor plans to customer needs
- Adaptable architectural vernaculars
- Energy efficiency with up to 50% reduction in energy requirements
- Robust construction with design to Category V wind loading
- Termite and insect resistance
- Low maintenance and durability
Most importantly, the system provides for a rapid construction cycle of 7-10 days for shell construction and 60-90 days for turnkey handover to the buyer. This is accomplished with a 50% reduction in labor per home. The result is a high-quality, energy-efficient, and durable high value-added home for the retail customer.
